Evaluation of variants of strategy

Sometimes there is a situation, when results of several various strategies are similar or there are just insignificant differences. Then, it is advisable to apply a comparative analysis in case of particular variants. If you are not sure about the variant of your choice, you can also evaluate and verify all possibilities.

How to do it? Write down all distinguished strong and weak sides, opportunities and threats into the below table. Afterwards, evaluate their significance:

1 – main weaknesses;
2 – secondary weaknesses;
3 – secondary strengths;
4 – main strengths;

1 – main threats;
2 – secondary threats;
3 – secondary opportunities;
4 – main opportunities.

Place variants of the strategy that you want to compare in the table’s heading. Evaluation is performed only, when a particular factor influences the choice of strategy:

1 – the strategy is not accepted;
2 – the strategy is possible to be accepted;
3 – the strategy is probably accepted;
4 – the strategy is accepted.

Attractiveness of the strategy is a product of evaluation of factors and of strategy. A sum of components of attractiveness of a strategy allows to determine the degree, to which these are proper and desired (the higher it is, the better).
